Great story and beautiful watercolors!!! I am reminded of a friend of mine who drew and sold beautiful realistic colored pencil drawings of the birds he also photographed as his hobby after retiring. He had a massive stroke which permanently paralyzed his right side (his drawing arm). His wife had him drawing with his left hand while he was still in hospital. Now he is selling the drawings he does with his left hand!! But he does it ONLY for the love of drawing and the love of birds. For myself, I was run down while standing on a sidewalk by a drunk driver 2 years ago. Both my legs were broken and I could not walk for 3 months and I was in terrible pain. But I was doing watercolor sketches in the first 2 weeks of recovery which made me happy and distracted me from the pain. My right leg will probably always be about 90% but I go urban sketching just as before and I feel very lucky that I still can. Such accidents are really terrible but so much easier if we focus on what we CAN do NOW and not what we used to do with ease. You paint beautiful watercolors 100%!! Good luck with your continued recovery!
